Herv¨¦ Mazella Appointed As Executive Assistant Manager ¨C Food And Beverage Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

Gordon Fuller, area vice president and general manager of Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, is pleased to announce the appointment of Herv¨¦ Mazella as executive assistant manager ¨C food and beverage.

Born in Provence, France, Herv¨¦ developed his passion for cooking and hospitality as a child.   In the early 1990¡¯s, Herv¨¦ studied in a hotel school in France before pursuing his studies in hotel management in Germany. With his enthusiasm for culinary arts and pastry in particular, Herv¨¦ was awarded the Vice Champion prize at the ¡°Desserts of France¡± competition in 1998. 

During the early 2000s, Herv¨¦ gradually learned about the art of fine dining whilst working in  Michelin-starred Relais & Chateaux properties in Provence, before having the opportunity of joining Chef Michel Roux at the famous Michelin three-star Waterside Inn in the UK where he could continue his exposure to the finest of dining environments.

Herv¨¦ then joined the Events team of Le M¨¦ridien Hotel, Monte Carlo in 2004.  He was promoted to conference and banqueting manager before becoming the director of operations at a sister property on the Cote d¡¯Azur.  Before joining Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Herv¨¦ was the acting executive assistant manager with the Le Meridien in Cairo. Having worked in Europe and the Middle East, Herv¨¦ has always aspired to travel further east to experience dynamic, vibrant Asia.
