AirFrance-KLM passenger traffic increased in most markets during the month of July, while cargo business suffered a steep decline.

Overall, passenger numbers rose by 1.1 percent year-on-year for July 2012.

The Americas network, European network and Asia network all reported a rise in traffic and capacity compared with July 2011.

Europe posted a 3.2 percent gain in passenger numbers, the Americas increased by 2 percent, whilst the Asia network jumped by 3.3 percent.

Africa and the Middle East and the Caribbean and Indian Ocean routes saw a reduction in passenger movement and capacity over last year’s results for the same period.

The Caribbean and Indian Ocean network traffic declined by 3.3 percent, while Africa and the Middle East’s passenger traffic reduced by 4 percent.

Cargo business witnessed a 5.5 percent drop in traffic and capacity was down 1.6 percent for the month.
