AirFrance-KLM: pax up, cargo down

AirFrance-KLM passenger traffic increased in most markets during the month of July, while cargo business suffered a steep decline.
Overall, passenger numbers rose by 1.1 percent year-on-year for July 2012.
The Americas network, European network and Asia network all reported a rise in traffic and capacity compared with July 2011.
Europe posted a 3.2 percent gain in passenger numbers, the Americas increased by 2 percent, whilst the Asia network jumped by 3.3 percent.
Africa and the Middle East and the Caribbean and Indian Ocean routes saw a reduction in passenger movement and capacity over last year¡¯s results for the same period.
The Caribbean and Indian Ocean network traffic declined by 3.3 percent, while Africa and the Middle East¡¯s passenger traffic reduced by 4 percent.
Cargo business witnessed a 5.5 percent drop in traffic and capacity was down 1.6 percent for the month.
