Air India and South Korea’s Asiana Airways have signed a new code share agreement on flights between Indian and Seoul.

Announced over the weekend, the agreement is expected to launch soon and were designed to provide better connectivity between the two regions,” Outlook India reported.

"As per the agreement, which would be finalised for implementation at the earliest, both Air India and Asiana Airways would share code on the flights operated by each other on the India-South Korea (Seoul) and vice-versa sectors, on a free flow basis," an Air India spokesperson told media.

As well as sharing flights, the agreement will also allow passengers for both airlines to earn Frequent Flyer points on Air India and Asiana code share flights.
