A Virgin Atlantic senior employee has resigned from the airline after allegedly revealing flight details of celebrities including Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Revealed earlier this month, the now ex-employee formerly responsible for the airline’s Upper Class passengers is said to have provided London’s, Big Pictures with the flight details of up to eight stars, News.com.au reported.
Although the employee is said to have denied leaking information in exchange for payment, the airline described the allegations as “extremely serious” and stressed that it had launched an immediate investigation into the situation.
"The incident that has been alleged concerns eight customers' flights booked in 2010 and we are in contact with all of those people ... we would deeply regret any concern that these allegations may cause the individuals involved,” Virgin Atlantic said.
Other celebrities involved the incident are said to be Sienna Miller, Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, soccer player Ashley Cole and Cheryl Cole.
