Upgrading of Reservations and Ticketing System
|
Singapore Airlines will be upgrading our Reservations and Ticketing system in June 2012. This is in line with ongoing efforts to leverage on technological developments that enable us to meet evolving air travel demands.
During the system upgrade activities, some of our services will experience limited ability. Check-in for flights departing during the upgrade exercise will only be available at the airport. More detailed information about the upgrade will be made available at a later date.
In preparation for this event, we will be carrying out a series of rehearsals in February and March 2012 on selected flights to fine tune the customer handling process at the airports. Flights SQ298 from Christchurch and SQ286 from Auckland to Singapore on 04 March, have been selected to participate in the rehearsals.
Check-in services for these flights will only be available at the airport of departure and counters will open 3 hours in advance of the scheduled time of departure. Customers are requested to carry a copy of your electronic ticket for check-in at the airport counters. Kindly note that Internet, SMS and mobile check-in services will not be available.
For transit passengers, inter-airline through check-in will also not be available. Customers will need to check in again at the transfer desk in the airport transit area for their next flight.
A reminder will be sent to customers one day in advance via mobile phone text messages, please ensure your clients mobile phone details are inserted into the PNR.
We seek your understanding for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and continued support.
