Thai Airways and Airbus has signed a new agreement that will see the aircraft manufacturer provide ongoing maintenance support and aircraft inventory for the carrier’s A380 fleet. Unveiled this week, the 15-year Flight Hour Services- Tailored Support Package contract will allow the airline to seek repairs, logistic services and spare parts from Airbus. Thai Airways technical department managing director Captain Montree Jumrieng explained the commitment signified the carrier’s commitment to the aircraft Group and its new flagship product. “Airbus has developed a customised and tailored offer to perfectly match our operational needs,” Captain Jumrieng said. “Having the Airbus supporting our aircraft inventory and maintenance will thus enable us to optimise our A380 daily operations around the world.” |
