Passengers passing through Frankfurt Airport today could face further delays as its ground worker’s plan a 24-hour strike for today.

The Group’s union said the strike would commence at 4.00am GMT time on Monday 20 February 2012 and end the same time on Tuesday 21 February 2012.

Industrial action follows two-days of strikes which took plane on Thursday and Friday last week.

Frankfurt Airport spokesperson explained the airport would only be able to handle up to 70 percent of operations that would see up to 400 flights cancelled.

"There will be delays and cancellations," the spokesperson said.

"We are ready for further talks with the union and are willing to compromise.
