Garuda Indonesia’s entry into the SkyTeam has been put on hold for an extra year.

The carrier’s chief executive Emirsyah Sata told media the admission was delayed from this year until the first quarter of 2013, CAPA reported.

He explained the delay was due to the carrier’s need for extra time to overhaul its IT systems.
