  :: A new year a new Crystal ::

This year signifies "A Year of New Developments" for Crystal Cruises, with the ultra-luxury line introducing enhancements to their offering every month in 2012.

Crystal Symphony will undergo a dramatic makeover in June with refurbishments slated for the 'Avenue Saloon', 'Palm Court Lounge', 'Galaxy Showroom', 'Hollywood Theatre', 'Bridge Lounge' and 'Fantasia and Waves' children's areas.

The line's all inclusive offering will feature quality spirits, fine wine and champagne with Diane Patrick, general manager Wiltrans, highlighting the line's new commitment to publish the alcohol offered as part of the all-inclusive offering at a media event onboard Crystal Serenity last week.

Crystal Serenity’s ‘Tastes Café’ have introduced a casual dining option on-deck featuring yum cha-style fare with the bistro extending hours late into the evening offering passengers a selection of desserts and snacks along with fine wine, champagne and flavoured hot beverages.

European voyages will be enhanced with local experts and dignitaries invited aboard for one-on-one interviews and insights into the regions being visited.

A host of new entertainment will also be featured onboard, including two new production shows highlighting the music of legendary performers through the years and an alliance with a world-renowned magic organisation to entertain passengers with strolling magic and adult-oriented classes.

The ‘Computer University@Sea’ will offer iPad and Facebook classes to its current schedule of complimentary computer courses with the Fitness Centre expanding the amount of pilates and yoga classes.

Shore excursions have not been excluded from the new developments with more than 100 new land tours offered in the first six-months of this year including helicopter rides over Paris and river rafting in Iceland.

“Crystal has long had a reputation for leading the pack in innovation,” Crystal Cruises president Gregg Michel said.

“In 2012, we’re building upon that tradition by continually enhancing the Crystal Experience. One doesn’t hold on to the title of ‘World’s Best’ without consistently examining what ‘best’ means to its valued customers.”

Crystal will also introduce 20 maiden calls and a host of pre- and post-cruise land packages.
