The Centre clinches prestigious travel award

It is a perfect ending to a fantastic year for the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) which has been voted the ¡®Best Congress & Convention Centre, Asia¡¯ by Business Destinations Travel Awards 2011.

The Centre was acknowledged for excellence in venue capacity, facilities and landscape, customer service and initiatives, value-added services, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and sustainable practices.

Commenting on the Centre¡¯s achievement, Datuk Peter Brokenshire, General Manager, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, said that the Centre is honoured to be recognised as the ¡®Best Congress & Convention Centre, Asia¡¯.? ¡°The award affirms our belief in the importance of constantly innovating with sustainable value-added offerings that meet the evolving needs of our clients whilst continuing to deliver quality products and services that are expected from a world-class facility.¡±

The Business Destinations fourth annual Travel Awards, organised annually by Business Destinations, Tower Business Media in the United Kingdom, are designed to showcase organisations whose products and services represent the pinnacle of the business travel industry.

Unique in travel accolade platforms, the nomination to the Business Destinations¡¯ fourth annual travel awards stemmed from the votes solicited through an international email campaign and participation by a vast and diverse cross section of voters, including corporate travel executives, company travel buyers from Fortune 500 companies, Meetings, ?Incentive Travels, Conferences or Exhibitions (MICE) solution providers, Association of Corporate Travel Executives members and the influential members of the business travel community.
