Position: Communications Manager (Full time)
Salary: negotiable for the right candidate

Probation period: 3 months
Working hours: 0900 to 1800
Direct report (s): David Johnson and Mark Armsden, Directors

Overall: This position requires flexibility, dedication and initiative in order to meet the demands of a very active and changeable communications environment. It also requires an ability to handle a broad range of responsibilities and demands from a list of clients that covers the fields of hospitality, property, design, sports and education, including an element of administration from time to time. Training is provided in all areas ¨C with the most important requirement being a love of the communications industry and drive to succeed.
Job Description:
- Building and maintaining a strong network of media contacts in key Thai and international publications in the following categories:
- Travel and hospitality
- Property
- Design/Architecture
- Sports
- Education
- Achieving regular and consistent press coverage in print, online and broadcast media in local and international publications
- Building strong relationships with press ¨C including local press visits and attending after work functions. An existing network of press contacts would be an advantage
- Updating databases with new local and international press contacts
- Setting up, checking and distributing press announcements through DACĄŻs distribution system
- Social media monitoring and regular posting of client news
- Following up announcements with local and international press in key markets according to client needs. Tier A markets typically are: Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK. Tier B: India, China, Middle East, Indonesia, Germany, Scandinavia
- Co-ordinating translation of press releases into Thai in liaison with DACĄŻs Thai Translation Manager
- Planning the buying of advertising
- Tracking media results in the form of clippings and providing valuations for monthly client presentations
- Arranging and co-ordinating events such as press conferences, lunches, seminars and press trips
- Liaison with designers and printers for marketing materials creation
- Co-ordination with DACĄŻs Communications Manager for Europe (based in London) as required
- Variety of other administrative duties to support sales and marketing efforts, such as advertising contract and materials follow ups with clients and agencies
- Working closely with the office manager when required. As a small company there may be some minor administrative tasks from time to time
