If you want idyllic views with friendly, professional service, then NOAH¡¯S On The Beach is the place to stay when travelling to Newcastle.
Check in was a breeze and the free undercover parking for hotel guests was a welcome relief.
¡®Jonah¡¯s on the Beach¡¯, the in-house restaurant and bar was located in the warm and inviting lobby and our stomach¡¯s growled in anticipation of breakfast the next morning.
Room 419 was located on the fourth floor and had one of the most breathtaking ocean views I have come across during my travels.
An uninterrupted vista and the hypnotic sound of the waves crashing against the shore assured me of a relaxing stay. Those blinds would rarely be closed over my two nights at NOAH¡¯S.
A comfortable room, complete with both a queen size and single bed, it featured all of the necessary amenities including a large flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities.
The handy storage space near the front door meant I didn¡¯t have to trip over my suitcase during my stay but I was surprised at the extremely narrow shelves on offer in the built in wardrobe.
Being the kind of woman who packs every cosmetic under the sun when she travels, the limited vanity space in the bathroom was a tad disappointing, however the room itself was very spacious.
Throwing open the balcony door and smelling the fresh sea air was a welcome start to the morning and a bevy of surfers had taken their place on the foam crested waves below.
¡®Jonah¡¯s¡¯ didn¡¯t disappoint at breakfast and my friend Wendy enjoyed a delectable serving of toasted raspberry and pear bread topped with marscapone, fresh blueberries and strawberries. I, however, tried a dish I¡¯ve always been nervous to sample...poached eggs.
What better place to take the leap than at ¡®Jonah¡¯s¡¯ though! Boy am I glad I did because I have found my new favourite breakfast...and what better way to enjoy this new found favourite than overlooking the beach on a gorgeous late winter¡¯s day.
If I wasn¡¯t attending a conference, I would certainly have ordered the picnic hamper on offer and dined on the gorgeous Newcastle beach. The sun glistening on that sparkling blue water was hard to resist!
We were so impressed that we decided to dine-in that evening and order from the extensive and affordable room service menu also put together by the award-winning restaurant.
With beautiful beaches and award-winning dining options, Newcastle offers something for everyone and NOAH¡¯s on the Beach is the perfect place to stay to experience it.
