Famous Agents Program Offers New Smartpass Cards, City Super Gift Cards, ParkĄŻn Shop Vouchers & Exclusive Agency Stay Benefits

As Fairmont Hotels & Resorts continues to further its expansion in China with new hotels in Shanghai, Beijing and beyond, the luxury hotel brand recognizes the importance of travel professionals to its overall success. As a new reward for travel professionals in China who book with Fairmont, points earned through the brandĄŻs Famous Agents award and recognition program are now redeemable for three different reward cards exclusive to China, including Smartpass Cards, City Super Gift Cards and ParkĄŻn Shop Vouchers.

Year-round, Famous Agents earn 1 point per qualified room night at the brandĄŻs landmark properties around the world. Rewards are enjoyed simply by redeeming a minimum of 50 points for a standard room at a Fairmont city-center property while 75 points can go towards a standard resort within the portfolio. One of the newest rewards tailored to travel professionals in the region is the Smartpass card, where 15 Famous Agents points yields a 100 CNY Smartpass card, which can be redeemed at 2,300 appointed merchants in China including supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, entertainment venues and more.

Additionally, Fairmont has rolled out a number of regional reward cards in China. In Southern China, agents can trade in 15 Famous Agents points for a CNY 100 ParkĄŻn Shop voucher, redeemable at the supermarket chainĄŻs over 40 outlets. City Super Gift Cards, which can be used for purchases at all City Super mega specialty stores, are available for agents in Hong Kong at a rate of 25 Famous Agents points for a $200 HK card, while agents in Taiwan can cash in 25 Famous Agents points for a $700 TWD card.

Agents also enjoy a number of other benefits by joining Famous Agents, including exclusive member-only rates at Fairmont locations worldwide. The program is easy to enroll where agents review a short lesson module and answer corresponding multiple-choice questions, only taking about 20 minutes. After submitting an online application form, agents receive a personalized membership number, which can be used immediately to track client reservations and earn points. As points are accrued on reservations in all room categories and wholesale bookings, members can quickly look forward to enjoying their rewards. Staying up-to-date is made easy with bi-monthly e-newsletters containing the latest news and developments as well as client and member-only offers, which are sent directly to Famous Agents members.

The Fairmont Beijing is offering a special deal for members of the brandĄŻs Famous Agents program: from now to February 28, 2012 agents who book an escape for themselves at the Famous Agents Rate of 640 CNY will receive a complimentary Buffet Breakfast in Lunar 8 Restaurant, complimentary use of the Fitness Center and swimming pool, and a complimentary bicycle to take advantage of the hotelĄŻs Hutong Tour ¨C complete with dedicated route map.

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler wants agency clients to stay a little bit longer when they visit the resort this year, and is offering a third night free when guests book with a travel agentĄŻs consortia rate.
