Should the Thailand Tourism Industry Use Price Cutting as a Recovery Tool?

Thursday, 15 July 2010

Should the travel industry in Thailand drop its rates to bring back business? It is a hotly contested subject with many diverging views.

The Chapter will hold a debate on the subject on Wednesday July 28 1730-2000 hrs at Siam Ocean World. Speakers for and against include Chanin Donavanik, Chaladol Ussaman, Luzi Matzig, Wayne Buckingham and Jim Reed. There will be plenty of opportunities to make comment from the floor.

The event is free for Chapter members who bring a Chapter 2010 luncheon voucher (worth 500 baht).

Non-chapter members pay 800 baht to join. Prices include entry fees to the Siam Ocean World, hot and cold snacks & hors d'oeuvres as well as soft drinks. A cash bar is available.

Importantly, please register in advance. Email pata@asiaaccess.net.th. Tel: 02 237 5195/9.
