Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore emerged victorious at the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) 2009-2011 (Singapore series), sweeping a collection of awards including HAPA Best Business Hotel, HAPA Best Housekeeping Team, HAPA Restaurant of the Year (Jaan par André), HAPA Best Wine Experience Restaurant (Jaan par André) and HAPA Best Western Cuisine Chef (Chef André Chiang). Swissôtel The Stamford’s HAPA Best Business Hotel award comes as a double celebration after the hotel was crowned Asia Pacific’s Best Business Hotel at the 20th TTG Travel Awards 2009 earlier this month. Jaan par André also has reason to pop the champagne as it recently made a spectacular debut in the Miele Guide 2009 / 2010 as Asia’s 4th Best Restaurant. It served as the Official Athletes Hotel for the 1st Asian Youth Games 2009 hosting 1,400 youth athletes from 45 countries in June/July 2009. It was the Official Hotel for the 2008 Singapore Airshow Aviation Summit, which will again take place in 2010. In October 2009, it hosted the Interpol General Assembly 2009 where members from 187 countries gathered.
