The new 658-room property will be managed by Marriott under an agreement reached with its owner Union Sky Holdings Limited, and more than 300 guests attended the launch party. “Hong Kong is truly Asia’s world city and our commitment to, and confidence in, the territory is further cemented with this opening,” said Craig Smith, Marriott Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific. “It remains a vibrant financial and commercial centre and is one of the world's most attractive destinations for conferences, incentive and leisure travel. “In partnership with Shun Tak, Dragages and GR8 Leisure Concept, and driven by the dedication of the hotel’s associates, we share the vision and passion to position Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel as an international business and leisure resort, providing guests with the highest level of services and an unmatched experience during their stay with us.” SkyCity Marriott will become Marriott International’s fifth hotel in Hong Kong, but the first to carry the Marriott branding.
