Westin Hotel’s in China Receive Top Honours

Taking home top honours at the 2008 TTG China Travel Awards in Shanghai, included The Westin Beijing, Financial Street, The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai and The Westin Guangzhou.

The TTG China Travel awards recognizes the outstanding achievers in China’s travel and tourism industry.

From January to the end of February, over 12,600 readers from TTG China, TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia and TTGmice casted their votes for their favourite travel and trade organizations.

China’s Westin hotels claimed the awards in the categories of ‘Best Luxury Hotel in Shanghai’ The Westin Bund Center, Shanghai; ‘Best Meetings and Conventions Hotel in Beijing’ The Westin Beijing, Financial Street and ‘Best New Hotel in Guangdong’ The Westin Guangzhou.

“The Westin brand has certainly established itself as one of the top five star hotel brands in China. I am extremely proud that all three hotels were recognized in varying categories at this illustrious award ceremony.” said Senior Vice President of Operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, China and Taiwan,  Mr. Qian Jin.

Over 300 of China’s most influential industry professionals attended the awards ceremony now set to be an annual event. Thirty-nine of China’s most outstanding travel and trade organizations were recognized this year.
