In the spirit of its longtime motto “There’s no better way to fly”, a new business unit of Lufthansa, is offering flyers across Southeast Asia a fleet of the most modern private jets which can be booked individually at short notice to more than 1,000 destinations in Europe and the Russian Federation. The Lufthansa service begins event before travelers board. Passengers from Thailand would first transfer to Frankfurt via one of Lufthansa’s long-haul flights from Bangkok. At Frankfurt Airport, Lufthansa Private Jet passengers are collected by private limousine and transferred over the tarmac directly to their connecting flight, passing quickly through immigration, security checks and customs. The Cessna Citation Excel and Bravo jets seat up to seven passengers, with legroom varying between 105 and 120 centimeters depending on aircraft type. Service, catering and in-flight entertainment will be of the finest standard as expected from Lufthansa’s First Class. Flights can be booked up to 180 days or up to 24 hours prior to flight departure. An event manager working with the Lufthansa and SWISS Hub Control Centres ensures the smoothest coordination between private jet and long-haul flight, guaranteeing a seamless journey. The benefits to travelers are numerous – exclusive product and safety standards on first-rate, fast, point-to-point connections all for a fixed price based solely on distance flown. This is different from other charter jet services which charge by the hour. Lufthansa Private Jet is therefore the ideal solution for travelers who want to reach out-of-the-way destinations quickly and comfortably without the hassles of today’s security-obsessed airports. And security is one of the main reasons so many flyers are choosing private flights over the commercial counterparts. Not only will Lufthansa Private Jet customers spend less time waiting, the peace-of-mind that comes with flying privately is invaluable. “Awareness of the advantages of private jet travel is increasing steadily across Asia, and both corporate and private travelers are seeing the vast benefits that executive aircraft can offer,” said Uwe Mueller, Lufthansa vice-president for Asia and Pacific. “We believe there is a strong market in Southeast Asia for executives and discerning travelers who value the trust and reliability in a name like Lufthansa.” To introduce its service to more quality-conscious clients in Thailand, Lufthansa Private Jet will be taking part in the very first Thailand Millionaire Expo 2007 in Bangkok from November 1-4 at Siam Paragon. Thailand Millionaire Expo 07 will be Southeast Asia’s very own “millionaire” lifestyle consumer show, featuring under one roof some of the best-known premium brands in the world. Luxury consumer shows have been held successfully in other markets such as the Netherlands, Russia, Abu Dhabi, Vienna and most recently, China, but this will be the first time that an event of this scale will be hosted in Southeast Asia. Participation is expected from more than 60 international luxury brands in categories such as automotive, real estate, jewelry and fashion. |
